Immortalis Garnacha 2016 comes from Finca Aylés, a remarkable estate in D.O. Calatayud in the province of Zaragoza — one of Aragon's most historically significant and scenically extraordinary wine territories. The Ramón Reula family's winemaking project began in the 1980s and culminated in the reunification of several historic properties that had belonged to Finca Aylés since the Middle Ages, creating one of the largest private historical estates in Aragon with over 3,200 hectares of exceptional ecological and scenic conditions. In 2010, Finca Aylés was awarded the Vino de Pago designation — the highest quality classification in Spanish wine legislation. The Garnacha grapes for this wine are sourced from vineyards over 40 years old, harvested during the second week of October at optimal ripeness, and aged for 4 months in French oak barrels to develop the natural integration and balance that defines this wine's character.
