Introducing the Herdade dos Grous 2019 Red Wine, an exquisite and award-winning wine for wine lovers and wine enthusiasts. This notable red wine was created with hand-selected Alicante Bouschet, Syrah, Touriga Nacional, and Aragonez grapes from the region of Alentejo, Portugal’s largest and most historic wine region. The grapes are immediately cooled to 10°C on arrival at the winery, ensuring maximum flavor with minimal oxidation.

The musts are ‘cold-soaked’ for up to two days prior to fermentation. This process preserves the grapes’ distinctive flavors and aromas for a one-of-a-kind red wine that can’t be missed. Further, selected yeasts are used during the fermentation and maceration process, creating a complex and satisfying flavor that makes this red wine really stand out. Finally, the Herdade dos Grous 2019 is aged in new French oak barriques for up to nine months, resulting in a robust and full-bodied red that is smooth and delightful to drink.

Deep, concentrated plummy-red tones; Complex aromas. Mature well integrated fruit. Full-flavoured, good concentration, soft tannin structure. We recommend pairing this wine with Mediterranean dishes. W suggest a serving temperature of 14-16ºC

About the Winery

'Herdade dos Grous' (estate of the cranes) is an exquisite country estate that offers tranquility and unspoiled nature on more than 2718 acres. The work of oenologist Luis Duarte on their vineyards is more than just a passion. The establishment of the estate and the cultivation of the vines (1987), as well as the design of a state-of-the-art wine cellar (built in 2005) are all based on the latest findings in high-end viticulture. ’Herdade dos Grous’ represents the current pioneering spirit of Portugal’s wine-growing business like no other estate.
