Le Dragon de Quintus is the distinguished second wine of the famous Château Quintus. The name pays homage to the imposing dragon statue that proudly overlooks the terroir of Saint-Emilion, perched atop the majestic promontory where the estate resides. This exceptional Grand Cru Classé red wine is skillfully crafted from a blend of 87% Merlot and 13% Cabernet Franc, showcasing the mastery of the winemaking team. The grapes were meticulously hand-harvested from September 14th to the 29th, ensuring optimal ripeness and quality. Following fermentation, the wine was aged in oak barrels, adding layers of complexity and refinement.

Despite the challenges faced during the 2017 vintage, the talented winemakers of Château Quintus were able to overcome the adversity and produce outstanding wines. The vintage presented difficulties due to early-year frost, which impacted vineyards throughout Saint-Emilion.
