Château Soutard imposes its aristocratic presence in the heart of the limestone plateau of Saint-Emilion, a few hundred metres from the bell tower of the medieval town with its exceptional historical architectural heritage. The first traces of Soutard date back to 1513 with the mention of Bourdieu (a Gascon estate with a farm and a mill) by Mayne de Soutard. In 2009, the nearby Château Cadet-Piola joined this estate, bringing the total surface area of the vineyard to nearly 60 hectares in one piece, including 30 hectares for Château Soutard on the Saint-Emilion plateau. This Saint Emilion Grand Cru is a blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Malbec.
