The original Alvarinho originates from the Vinho Verde wine region in northern Portugal, but in the last ten years, Portugal has allowed other regions to grow the berry. This possibility is being used, and so we have the opportunity to enjoy wines made from Alvarinho berries ripened in the great sunshine.
This white wine is indeed a symbiosis of the authentic Alvarinho and the rocky, sunny Alentejo terroir. When you enjoy it, you'll find fragments of both. The topicality of the Alvarinho is strongly felt here, as is the slight minerality of the Alentejo terrain. This dry wine is airy and easy to drink but has a southern character. This white wine can be kept for at least five to six years on a cool shelf in good conditions.
