Conchi Galarreta passed away in July 2009 — before she could taste the wines that her son Javier had spent years building in her honour. The Villa Conchi range is the tribute that arrived too late for her and yet carries her spirit completely forward in every bottle. The Brut Organic Vegan is the most consciously crafted expression in the range: organically farmed Xarel·lo, Parellada, Macabeo and Chardonnay from the Alt Penedès vineyards near Vila Rodona, each variety harvested at its optimal moment between late August and October, fermented separately at 16°C to preserve its individual aromatic character, blended with base wine and aged on the lees for a minimum of 12 months in underground cellars at 15°C to 17°C. Vegan certified and organic — because the most complete tribute to an extraordinary woman deserved to be made with the most complete commitment to the land that produced it.
