Campo de Borja is Garnacha country — and not by accident. Nestled in the heart of Aragon at the foot of the Moncayo mountain range, this is the appellation where the Grenache family, red and white, has been grown for centuries in the hot, dry climate that suits it better than almost anywhere else on earth. Bodegas Ainzón — founded in 1945 as a cooperative rooted in the Ainzón community and now known as Crianzas y Viñedos Santo Cristo — has been working with Garnacha Blanca on these soils for generations, and the Pena Zuela Vendimia Seleccionada is the most deliberate expression of that relationship: grapes selected only when fully ripe to guarantee the variety's complete structural and aromatic expression, kept at low temperatures throughout processing to protect the freshness and floral complexity that 30 to 50-year-old vines in the Ainzón area produce when the harvest is given the patience it deserves.
