Winemaker's Notes

Attractive cherry red with a ruby rim — clean, intense and luminous in the glass, with the clarity that only old vine fruit from chemical-free farming can produce. On the nose, an aromatic experience of genuine and exceptional complexity: ripe, frosted and raisined red fruit — berries, orange peel and plums — open the experience with evolved generosity, followed by graphite and mineral notes of real precision, balsamic and light violet florals, and deeper secondary nuances of cocoa, butter, tobacco and liquorice that speak of 30 months of exceptional oak maturation fully integrated through bottle rest. On the palate, tasty and beautifully structured — hints of red fruit and raisins carry through with natural concentration, cinnamon and fine leather add spiced elegance, noble aromatic woods of cedar add refinement, and excellent soft and ripe tannins complete an experience that is very long, very complex and deeply, memorably satisfying. A wine with a great life ahead of it — and a great impression to leave right now. Best enjoyed with red meat. Serve at 16°C.
