Imani Toscana 2018 is crafted by Bernard Magrez — one of France's most celebrated winemakers — from the IGT Toscana appellation, where the freedom to blend beyond Chianti's traditional boundaries allows for wines of exceptional personality and ambition. This elegant blend of 70% Sangiovese, 25% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Petit Verdot combines the natural charm of Tuscany's signature grape with the structure and depth of two of Bordeaux's most celebrated varieties. Fermented at a carefully controlled 25 to 30°C before 8 days of maceration, the wine is then aged for 6 months in barrels, developing a pleasing roundness and smooth, balanced character that makes this an effortlessly enjoyable expression of Italian winemaking at its most accessible.

Winemaker's Notes

Beautiful ruby red with clarity and warmth. On the nose, fresh and inviting with aromas of ripe cherries and red fruits that speak of Sangiovese's natural elegance and Tuscany's generous terroir. On the palate, round and smooth with a well balanced finish and a pleasing texture that carries through with quiet grace. A wine of immediate charm and everyday Tuscan sophistication. Best paired with red meat and fish in sauce with vegetable gratin. Serve at 16°C.
