Introducing the exceptional Grand Vin de Bordeaux from the Haut Médoc region - Château du Retout 2017. This remarkable blend comprises 52% Cabernet Sauvignon, 32% Merlot, and 16% Petit Verdot. Typically, the winery produces 130,000 bottles for each vintage, but in 2017, only 90,000 bottles were produced due to some challenges faced.

The winemaking process begins with a cold pre-fermentation maceration at 4°C, which lasts for 6 to 10 days under a protective gas blanket. The fermentation is slow and carefully controlled, with temperatures kept below 26°C. Gravity is used for 2 to 3 rack and return operations per day. The wine undergoes maceration under the grape skins for 15 to 28 days at a temperature of 28°C. It spends an average of 27 to 45 days in vats.

The final blending occurs in late November, followed by the wine's transfer to barrels (with 33% new barrels) in mid-December. It then ages for an additional 12 months.
