El Viejo 2019 is a Spanish red wine from the renowned region of Toro. This wine is truly extraordinary, crafted only in exceptional vintages of the utmost quality, resulting in a wine that exudes elegance and sophistication. Matsu El Viejo is exclusively made from the Tinta de Toro grape variety, carefully cultivated in vineyards nestled at an altitude of 650-700 meters. These centuries-old vineyards, with their low yields, grow on sandstone and clay soils, imparting unique characteristics to the grapes. The vineyards are cultivated in a way that respects and embraces the natural processes, employing methods similar to biodynamic agriculture. Experience the essence of perfection with El Viejo 2019.

The El Viejo Organic 2019 is a Spanish red wine with a long and tasty mid-palate that envelops the palate with notes of concentrated fruit along with balsamic sensations that refresh its passage.It's a powerful and broad red wine with a long and tasty mid-palate that envelops the palate with concentrated fruit notes and balsamic sensations that refresh its passage. It has fantastic acidity that is well-defined, integrated, as well as friendly, ripe, fleshy, and sweet tannins give the wine a fine and velvety texture. Its colour is deep cherry with violet rims, and it is fresh and clean. The glass is stained by a dense tear. The finish is long and persistent, with a pleasant spicy aftertaste.

About the Winery

Matsu is the essence of a sustainable viticulture project. From among the extraordinary quality vineyards that abound in the D.O. Toro, Zamora, in Spain, the Technical Director of Matsu, Raúl Acha, selects authentic centenary jewels with which it is possible to obtain an exceptional grape. They are vineyards between 80 and 100 years old with very low production per vine, cultivated according to the tradition of not interfering with the logical processes that nature dictates. This age-old philosophy, together with privileged climatic conditions, makes it possible for the viticulture carried out here to be practically artisanal.
