Winemaker's Notes

Violet red with ruby notes and a high, generous layer — deep, complex and immediately communicating the weight of three years in new French oak and 60-year-old Mencía vines in full expression. On the nose, highly complex and genuinely remarkable: intense aromas of compote and ripe fruit open the experience with warmth and generosity, coexisting with balsamic notes and delicate touches of medicinal herbs that speak of the vine age, the terroir and the years of patient maturation in equal measure. On the palate, great texture and body from the very first moment — a full and structured experience of genuine presence and longevity, where the oak asserts its defining role as the equilibrium point between alcohol and acidity with quiet authority. The finish is long and wide, with notes of coffee and balsamic that linger with the kind of persistence and sophistication that only three years in new French oak and 60-year-old vines can produce together. A wine of exceptional quality and genuine historical significance. Best enjoyed with strong cheeses, roast meats, suckling pig, kid, lamb and stews. Serve at 14°C.
