HDL Amphora is an organic Portuguese red wine made from Syrah, Touriga Nacional, Aragonez and Alicante Bouschet. Harvested from old vines in Herdade dos Lagos, the grapes are crushed with their feet, and the fermentation takes place spontaneously in "talha" (indigenous yeasts). After the alcoholic fermentation is over, the wine stays in contact with the "mother" (pasta) for 8 months. The wine is aged in old French oak until bottling.
