Elaboration

L'Oratge Blanc Organic 2019 is a Spanish white wine from Tera Alta that follows organic practices under the guidance of De Haan Altés. The vineyard's elevated location at 550 meters above sea level and the constant cooling breezes contribute to the wine's refreshing natural acidity.

The grapes are carefully hand-harvested and undergo a gentle pressing before the must is transferred to stainless steel tanks for fermentation, where temperature control is maintained. The resulting wine has an alcohol content of 14%.

Winemaker's Notes

L’Oratge Blanc Organic 2019 is elegant, refine, and pure. The nose has a delicate, mineral character to it that takes a little time to open up. The wine's natural acidity balances off the wine's rich, full-bodied mouthfeel on the palate. Fish, risotto, and paella go well with L'Oratge Blanc. During the year, keep it at 15-20°C and cool it down to 7-8°C before serving.

About the Winery

Núria Altés was born in Batea (Terra Alta) into a family of winegrowers who, generation after generation, have taken care of the family heritage and have passed on their love for their land. Rafael De Haan, whose father is English and mother is Spanish, was born in Kent (England). His passion for authentic wines led him to discover Terra Alta, where he found much more: a family and a life project. It was precisely the experiences of the childhood among vineyards and the passion for the land and for the world of wine that led Núria and Rafa to start in 2010, with the organic cultivation of the family estates, the project that we know today as Herencia Altés.
