About the Winery
The essence of Pago de Espejo traces back to 1920, when Damiana, a bold and visionary woman ahead of her time, convinced her husband Manuel to purchase an olive grove in Villanueva de la Reina called La Condesa. Through her resilience and determination, Damiana laid the foundations for generations of the Espejo family, inspiring a commitment to quality and excellence.
By the 1980s, La Condesa became the first fully mechanised grove in Jaén, thanks to pioneering innovations from the family. Today, spanning over 200 hectares and producing more than 250,000 kilos of olives annually, La Condesa continues to flourish under the stewardship of Rosario Minchón Espejo, a fourth-generation descendant born among the olive trees.
Produced in the family’s very own mill, Pago de Espejo Arbequina Early Harvest is a testament to generations of hard work, passion, and a love for the land. It encapsulates nearly a century of knowledge while using modern methods to craft an olive oil that's truly second to none.
