Winemaker's Notes

Cherry red with a reddish rim and delicate violet hues — bright, generous and alive in the glass, with abundant tears that speak quietly of concentration and body before the first sip. On the nose, good intensity and remarkable expressiveness: ripe fruit, raspberry and blackberry open with freshness and clarity, followed by a gentle sweet sensation of vanilla and menthol, subtle touches of liquorice, tobacco and roasted coffee. An aromatic portrait of Mencía at its most complete and characterful — varietal precision and barrel complexity in perfect integration. On the palate, powerful and full-bodied with excellent structure and a good, lively acidity that keeps the wine energetic and focused. The tannins are velvety and generous, leaving a deeply pleasant and lingering passage through the mouth, with a vanilla and menthol aftertaste of genuine persistence and elegance. A wine that commands attention and rewards it generously. Best enjoyed with red meats, vegetables and cheeses. Serve between 16°C and 18°C.
