Somontano sits at the foot of the Pyrenees in northeastern Aragon — a D.O. that has always attracted producers willing to think differently about what Spanish wine can be. Bodegas Sommos embodies that spirit completely: its winery, a geometric prism of interlocking cubes recognised by the international press as one of the architectural wonders of the wine world, is the physical expression of a philosophy that treats knowledge, ambition and beauty as inseparable. The Varietales Blanco is the most direct expression of that philosophy in white wine form — a coupage of Chardonnay, Gewürztraminer and Pinot Noir, all from the winery's own vineyards, harvested by moonlight to preserve the full aromatic integrity of each variety, and aged for four months in French barrels to add the soft toast and integrated complexity that transform three distinct voices into one harmonious, original and deeply memorable wine.
