La Tellería 2019 is a wine rooted in one of Bierzo's most characterful and celebrated villages — Valtuille de Abajo, where slate soils, Atlantic influence and the natural vibrancy of the Mencía grape combine to produce wines of genuine freshness, structure and terroir expression. Crafted by Vinos Valtuille, the family winery founded by Dimas García Canedo in 1999 and now carried forward with equal dedication by his children Elena and Marcos, this 100% Mencía is aged for approximately five months in large casks — a deliberate and considered choice that adds gentle texture and definition while preserving the full natural fruit intensity and freshness that defines this wine's essential character. The result is a wine that is at once straightforward and genuinely satisfying — an honest and direct portrait of Bierzo Mencía from a family whose fundamental values are effort, respect for the land and an uncompromising care for the terroir they tend.
