Viña Ainzón Reserva 2017 is built on a single, clear conviction — that Garnacha, given sufficient time and the right hands, is capable of revealing dimensions that a simpler wine could never reach. Produced by Crianzas y Viñedos Santo Cristo, the Campo de Borja cooperative established in 1945 that operates under the Bodegas Ainzón name, this 100% Garnacha Reserva comes from vineyards trained on both espaldera and traditional bush vines at the foot of the Moncayo mountain range — the natural amphitheatre of altitude, mineral soils and temperature contrast that makes Campo de Borja one of Spain's most celebrated Garnacha territories. The winery's own description of this wine is characteristically direct and honest: if the Crianza proves that Garnacha can age magnificently, the Reserva proves that there is always another level to unlock.
