Flor de Cayus Garnacha 2018 is one of Bodegas Ainzón's flagship wines — a pure 100% Garnacha from D.O. Campo de Borja, the Grenache heartland of Aragon, where the dramatic Moncayo mountain range creates a unique microclimate of altitude, temperature variation and exceptional terroir for this noble variety. The wine perfectly expresses the natural character of its vineyards, enriched by 10 months of barrel aging that adds layers of spice, toast and balsamic complexity to Garnacha's natural generosity and warmth. The result is a wine of genuine Aragonese identity — rich, balanced and deeply expressive of one of Spain's most characterful wine territories.

Winemaker's Notes

Cherry red with medium intensity and vivid violet edges, clean and bright with natural clarity. On the nose, complex and elegant with red fruits and ripe fruit nuances alongside notes of spice, wood and toast in harmonious conversation. On the palate, warm and well balanced with soft tannins, an easy flowing texture and a satisfying finish where the fruit and balsamic sensations return with the toasted notes clearly and pleasurably highlighted. A wine of genuine warmth and Aragonese generosity. Best enjoyed with cheeses, meats and barbecue. Serve between 14°C and 16°C.

Bodegas Ainzón has been crafting wines in Campo de Borja since 1945 — a cooperative with deep roots in the Aragonese landscape at the foot of the Moncayo mountain range, where Garnacha has been cultivated for centuries. In the heart of what is genuinely Grenache territory par excellence, the winery has grown from its origins as Cooperativa Unión Agraria del Campo Santo Cristo into one of the region's most respected producers — a place where the noble Garnacha grape finds its most authentic and generous expression in the shadow of one of Spain's most majestic mountains.
