Harvested at the peak of perfection in climatically atypical conditions, the grape has already developed optimum flavor, color, and alcohol levels as well as surprisingly concentrated aromas. Despite the high humidity and lack of rain, the vineyards were nurtured and the unusual maturation of the Tempranillo grapes gave us a vintage to be proud of.

Winemaker's Notes

Featuring a pale pink hue with bright raspberry reflections, this wine’s nose is filled with fresh aromas of strawberry and peach. On the mouth, lingering notes of strawberry mix with a distinctly fruity and round profile, creating a bright and lively flavor.

This rose pairs perfectly with a wide variety of dishes—from grilled fish and salads to Asian oeuvres and artful aperitifs. Serve at a temperature of 16ºC for best results.

About the Winery

In 1964, the Meruelo family established Bodegas Baroja estate in the town of Elvillar de Álava, situated amidst the highest elevations of Rioja Alavesa. Their mission was simple: crafting elegant Rioja wine by utilizing top-quality Tempranillo grapes. The vineyards, located over 600 meters above sea level, boast a combination of clay and limestone soil. This perfect terroir, coupled with significant temperature fluctuations of 20 oC or more between day and night during the grape ripening season, allows the grapes to attain optimal balance of ripeness and acidity. With temperature control and the use of stainless steel tanks with capacities ranging from 12,000 to 30,000 kilos, every phase is meticulously overseen to guarantee the utmost quality and distinctive character that define Heredad de Baroja in each bottle.
