Toro or a classic Rioja. But don't worry, our experienced sommelier, who has traveled all over the world trying and tasting the best wines, has prepared the perfect wine box for you.
When approached with this challenge, he was extremely happy and eager to show that it is possible to choose 6 wonderful bottles of Spanish wine at a fair price and enjoy this foray into the world of Spanish wines. This "young" Tempranillo Rioja wine displays a cherry red color with shades of blue. It has an open and lively appearance. It has a bouquet of main essences mostly made up of red fruits, cherries, strawberries and raspberries. Fleshy, full-bodied, well-balanced, persistent, with a long aftertaste. It is a balanced, robust and delicious wine, with good longevity and pleasant acidity. It goes perfectly with rice, pasta and white meat.
ALBOCA 2018 is made from carefully selected grapes from the vineyards of the Toro region, located in Zamora, under the designation of origin "Toro".
Alboca 2018 has an intense cherry color, with reddish edges. It has an intense bouquet, with aromas of black berries, typical of the variety. On the palate, Alboca 2018 is fruity, and tasty, with a pleasant finish. This is a structured and balanced wine, which blends perfectly with any kind of meat, stews and pasta.
This wonderful red wine from Ribera del Duero should be included in any wine box. Condominio Joven has a light cherry red color, intense, with a thin layer of bluish hues. The bouquet is intense, with hints of fresh red fruit, strawberries and raspberries. On the palate, it is light and pleasant. It has round tannins and persistence, in good balance with acidity. Local people in Ribera del Duero, prefer to combine this wine with the local classic dish "lechazo", which is roasted lamb, in Spanish. The wine can also be paired with grilled meat, game and stews.
The little-known Terra Alta region is located in southwestern Catalonia, close to the Priorat premium designation of origin. One of the characteristics of these wines, is their fresh natural acidity, derived from the altitude (550 meters above sea level) and due to the constant breezes that cool the grapes. The wind blowing from the sea is known as the Garbi or "el vent del mar" (sea wind) and often heralds the rain which is a blessing in these arid parts.
This wine is very expressive, with notes of red fruits and minerals emanating from the glass. Lots of fruit on the palate, a touch of complexity and sweet tannins. It goes well with grilled meat and lamb.
Vitulia Barrica is the result of aging the wine for at least 11 months in French and American oak barrels. This excellent red wine has an intense red color mixed with purple, with burnt aromas mixed with notes of blackberries and currants. The wine offers a delicate and fruity palate, perfecting an intense wine with a perfect balance. Vitulia Barrica goes perfectly with ham, white or red meat.
This excellent wine comes from a special local winery in DO Toro, where quality is their top priority. Intense red top layer with shades of purple. Prolonged memories of wild berries, cherries and blackberries, fused with caramel and vanilla aromas. Persistent bouquet. Intense on the palate, highlighted by berries, freshness, firm tannins, complex and round, with a long aftertaste. Notes of red oak with character. Delicious pairing with semi-ripened and ripened cheeses, cold cuts, fried white or red meat, stews and game dishes.
