Born to Be Free Red is a name that carries a genuine philosophy — and behind it is a winery that has been living that philosophy for three decades. La Colombette, a four-generation family estate situated just outside Béziers with a breathtaking view of the Mediterranean Sea, was among the first French wineries to take alcohol-free winemaking seriously — not as a concession to those who cannot drink, but as a genuine expression of innovation and craft applied to one of the most challenging categories in the wine world. Vincent Pugibet and his father François have spent 30 years rejuvenating the vineyards of Languedoc, winning recognition for exceptional quality — including the title of Best Chardonnay in the World in 1995 — and pioneering low and no-alcohol wine ranges that received high acclaim in 2009. Today, Vincent is pushing the work further still, cultivating new grape varieties with natural pest resistance for entirely pesticide-free viticulture. Born to Be Free is crafted from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon and de-alcoholised with the expertise of a winery that has been mastering this process longer than almost anyone in France. The result is delicate, vibrant and sophisticated — a non-alcoholic red wine of genuine character and everyday joy.

Captivating garnet red in the glass — vivid and immediately inviting, with the natural colour and presence of Cabernet Sauvignon preserved through La Colombette's pioneering de-alcoholisation process. On the nose, delicate and genuinely appealing: ripe red fruits permeate the air with natural freshness and aromatic clarity — an honest and unpretentious portrait of Cabernet character without any of the heaviness that alcohol can sometimes impose. On the palate, refreshing and lively with a light, pleasant character that makes this wine as comfortable at a dinner table as it is at an aperitif — a sophisticated yet joyful experience that lives up to every word of its name. A non-alcoholic wine of genuine everyday pleasure from one of France's most innovative and committed family estates. Best enjoyed with red meat dishes. Serve between 12°C and 15°C.
