There are wines that could come from anywhere, and there are wines that could only come from one precise place on earth. Bidaia Txakolina is emphatically the second kind. Made from 100% Hondarribi Zuri — the native white grape of the Basque Country, grown nowhere else with anything approaching this character — from a spectacular vineyard positioned directly in front of the Cantabrian Sea, this is Txakoli in its most authentic and emblematic expression. Garaikoetxea Txakolindegia has been making wine on these Atlantic-facing slopes since the 16th century, guided by the accumulated wisdom of generations and the conviction that a variety this singular, in a terroir this specific, requires nothing more from the winemaker than complete respect.
