Elaboration

A Portuguese red wine that respects the vinification process with strict control of yield by cutting and consistent thinning. Manual picking in the cold hours of the morning. Fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks using reassembly. It has a delicate pressing and 8 months of aging in stainless steel tanks and then passes for a short time in French oak barrels. It has a delicate handling during vinification and natural cold stabilization before bottling.

Taster's notes

Dark purple color with ruby red reflections, aroma of fresh forest herbs with notes of eucalyptus and green tobacco leaves. On the palate, ripe black cherries, ripe and soft tannins, good structure and length, underlined by juicy aromas of red berries, with a delicate and mineral finish. We recommend pairing this wine with pasta, white meat and blue fish. We suggest a serving temperature of 16ºC.

The Winery

Forty years ago the Zeppenfeld-Kreikenbaum family built the winery, in the Valley of the Camels (Vale de Camelos). They are a german family who fell in love with the Portuguese landscapes, and they decided to make excellent wines from the denomination of origin Alentejo. They own 1000 hectares of completely organic vineyards, as they are highly committed to the sustainability of winemaking.
