In 1777, the Massana family began working the land that would become Maset del Lleó — paying tribute to the Abbey of Montserrat for the privilege of farming soil that ten generations later still produces some of Catalonia's most respected Cavas. That continuity is not accidental but the result of a family that has never once considered doing anything other than what they have always done: farming their estate with complete dedication and crafting traditional Cava from the three native Catalan varieties — Macabeo, Xarel·lo and Parellada — that define the appellation's finest expressions. The Brut Reserva Organic is their most classical and most committed expression: organically grown grapes, the classical complexity and generosity of a Reserva ageing process, fine and creamy bubbles and the long, persistent finish that nearly 250 years of accumulated expertise in a single Catalan estate makes look entirely effortless.
