Mestizaje Tinto Organic 2019 is a Spanish red wine from DOP El Terrerazo. It is produced by Bodegas Mustiguillo, a family business that makes its wines from a single piece of land (87 hectares of vines and other property) in Terrerazo, Utiel, has released a new crop of this red wine (Valencia). The Vino de Pago (PDO) El Terrerazo certification was given to them because of the uniqueness of their wines made with the Bobal grape variety. Mestizaje is a blend of old winemaking and modern cultivation techniques. It is modern and cosmopolitan, but it is steeped with all typical tradition of Mustiguillo.The bobal grape variety is combined with grenache and syrah to produce this wine. Bodegas Mustiguillo is highly valued for making Bobal grapes and creating velvety red grapes from high-altitude vineyards El Terrerazo, Spain

The Mediterranean Sea is 800 meters above El Terrerazo. It is made out of dolomite limestone with a chalky/sandy texture. Traditional viticulture is employed, with a cup system that is strictly non-irrigated. Each plot and/or variety is fermented independently, a process that is always environmentally friendly, resulting in a wine that is 100 percent organic, as indicated on the organic label.

Winemaker's Notes

Mestizaje Tinto Organic 2019 is a Spanish red wine with a cherry red tint, this Mediterranean red is made up of 75% Bobal. On the nose, it has a red fruit aroma with notes of cherries, raspberries, and strawberries and freshness. On the palate, this wine is silky, with a hefty load of excellent, juicy fruit, ripe, sweet, fine tannins, and a high acidity that gives freshness to the wine. A long finish, with mild persistence and lovely fruity aromas, entices you to take another drink. This wine is round, expressive, and delicious, and it will not let you down. Mestizaje Tinto 2019 is a great match for poultry, spaghetti, sausages, unripened cheeses, and small game. It is best served at 16ºC.
