Château de Pierreux is a French winery located at the heart of Beaujolais. It is a wonderful estate with 110 hectares of vineyards, facing the mont Brouilly. The Château was built in the Renaissance period and it is surrounded by more than 4,000 Gamay vines.
The winemaker, Patrice Monternier, has more than 25 years of experience working in this estate, as he inherited the know-how and the passion for winemaking from his father.
The soil in the Beaujolais region is granite with blue volcanic rocks. Château de Pierreux is extremely conscious of following enviromentally friendly practices, and their wines are marked by the authentic character of the area.
