Louis Latour

Burgundy

France

Louis Latour is a well-known French winemaker that has been in the business since 1797. As one of Burgundy’s top producers, they proudly produce some of the finest wines in France.

From their stunning Chardonnays to their beautiful Pinot Noirs, it is easy to see why Louis Latour is a beloved family estate. The quality and craftsmanship behind each and every bottle can only be described as exceptional.

With such a long history, tradition and passion for crafting exquisite wines, it comes as no surprise that Louis Latour continues to remain at the forefront of French wine production today.

Louis Latour's Domaine vineyards are in Aloxe-Corton, a region that has held the family name since its inception. Here the winemakers have 10.5 hectares (25 acres) of Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru, one of the most well-known white wines from Burgundy.

They also own parts of Corton Clos de la Vigne au Saint Grand cru and Corton Bressandes Grand Cru as well as various other Premier Crus such as “Les Chaillots”, “Les Founières” and “Les Guérets”.   Additionally, Louis Latour operates on Chambertin, Romanée-Saint-Vivant and Chevalier-Montrachet “Les Demoiselles” vineyards.

The red wines from this area are vinified and aged at the historical cellars at Cuverie Corton Grancey while all whites are pressed directly into stainless steel tanks where they ferment before moving onto oak barrels for aging.

Louis Latour strives to let their wines speak for the terroir and will only harvest when grapes are ripe or in optimal condition; everything is done by hand.

Vinification processes differ between reds and whites with different tools used for each but all respect nature and tradition which make up the soul of Burgundy wine.
