Elaboration

Les Hauts du Tertre is a red wine from the Margaux appellation, in the Bordeaux Region. The wine is a blend of 43% Cabernet Sauvignon, 33% Merlot, 19% Cabernet Franc and 5% Petit Verdot. The grapes have been hand-picked and carefully selected. The vinification took place in wooden and concrete vats with temperature control. The wine aged for 12 to 15 months in 100% in French oak barrels.

Taster's notes

Elegant red colour. On the nose, it presents aromas of berries and dried flowers and herbs, plum, licorice, vanilla and pepper spices with notes of cedar wood and tobacco, toast, coffee and a mineral and earthy finish. The palate is dry, with a fresh entry and acidity with ripe and elegant tannins. Tasty, persistent and mineral. We recommend pairing the wines with red meat, white meat, coq au vin, and duck magret. We suggest a serving temperature of 16┬║C

The Winery

Ch├óteau du Tertre is a property steeped in history. This property has existed since the 12th century and its vineyard of 52 hectares remains unchanged since 1855. Since the 19th century, their wines have become worldwide recognised thanks to the classification of 1855 which makes Ch├óteau du Tertre a Grand Cru Class├ę de Margaux.
