If you're looking for a good bottle of wine without breaking the bank, we have some really great wines under 50 RON.

 

Whether it's white or red, sparkling or still, in this article you will find something to suit your taste and budget. In this article, we have also included alcohol-free and organic wines that you should definitely try under 50 RON from different Spanish wine regions.

 

Spain is known for producing a wide variety of high-quality bottles at affordable prices. Here are a few examples of Spanish wines from different grape varieties that you can find for under 50 RON:

 

Tempranillo Grape

 

 

 

This is a red grape varietal that is widely grown in the northern regions of Spain, such as Rioja and Ribera del Duero. Tempranillo bottles are known for their rich, full-bodied flavours and moderate tannins.

 

Our Recommendations:

 

 

    On the nose, it presents red fruit, cherry, and strawberry aromas. On the palate, it is balanced and robust, and with a good length. We recommend pairing this wine with red meat, cheese, and white meat. We suggest a serving temperature of 14ºC

 

  • Elivo Zero Zero Deluxe: Alcohol-free wine made of Tempranillo and cabernet sauvignon grapes that come from vineyard between 15 and 20 years old. This 0.0% wine is produced in Galicia by the Elivo winery.

     

      On the nose, it presents fruity aromas. On the palate, it is an unctuous and sweet wine, with slightly pronounced tannins and a characteristic acidity that makes it light and pleasant. We recommend pairing it with red meat. We suggest a serving temperature of between 14ºC and 16ºC

     

    • Sangria Premium: Spanish sangria made from Tempranillo grapes that come from vineyards that are over 25 years old. It is a semi-sweet produced by Bodegas Monte la Reina.

       

        On the nose, it presents citric notes, notable orange fused and cinnamon. On the palate, it is notable sweet and presents fruity flavours. We recommend pairing it with white meat, appetizers and seafood. We suggest a serving temperature between 8º and 10ºC

       

       

      Garnacha Grape

       

       

       

       

      This red grape varietal is commonly grown in the northeastern regions of Spain, such as Aragón and Catalonia. Garnacha wines are known for their fruity and spicy flavours, with a relatively low tannin content.

       

      Our recommendations:

       

       

        The wine has aromas of red fruits and minerals. On the palate, there is a lot of fruit, a hint of complexity, and pleasant tannins. It goes great with grilled meats like cabrito and lamb. The best serving temperature is between 15º to 17ºC.

       

      • Aldeya 2019 Rose: Rose wine from D.O. Cariñena, produced by Bodega Pago Ayles. The grapes come from vineyards for over 15 years.

         

          On the nose, it presents a combination of intense flavours and red berried fruits. On the palate, it is fresh and easy to drink. We recommend pairing it with white meat, vegetables, and desserts. We suggest a serving temperature of 6ºC – 8ºC

         

        • Blau 2019: Red wine made of Carignan, syrah and black grenache from D.O. Montsant, in Catalonia. It is produced by Cellers Can Blau and it has been included in the list of the best 100 best wines in the world prepared by Wine Spectators.

           

            It presents a great aromatic intensity and has a long finish. We recommend pairing it with red meat. We suggest a serving temperature of 14ºC

           

           

           

          Verdejo Grape

           

           

           

           

          This is a white grape varietal that is grown in the northwestern region of Rueda. Verdejo are Spanish white wines known for their bright and fresh flavors, with a good acidity and mineral notes.

           

          Our Recommendations:

           

          • De Alberto Verdejo: White wine from D.O. Rueda made of Verdejo grapes that come from vineyards between 10 and 30 years. It is produced by the winery Hijos de Alberto, located in Castilla y Leon.

             

              On the nose, it presents aromas of stone fruit, white fruit and citrus. On the palate it is fresh and easy to drink. We recommend pairing this wine with appetizers, fish, seafood, pasta, rice and white meat. We suggest a serving temperature of 12ºC

             

             

              On the nose, it presents exotic fruit notes. On the mouth, it has a plump texture and a great aftertaste. We recommend pairing this wine with rice dishes, shellfish and fish. We suggest a serving temperature of between 7ºC and 10ºC

             

             

            Albariño Grape

             

             

             

             

            This white grape varietal is grown in the northwestern region of Rías Baixas, especially in Galicia. Albariño wines are known for their floral and citrus aromas, with good acidity and minerality.

             

            Our recommendations:

             

            • Elivo Zero Zero Deluxe White: Alcohol free white wine with 0.0% alcohol from Pontevedra, produced by the Elivo winery. It is a blend of Albariño and Airen grapes, that come from vineyard that have between 15 and 20 years.

               

              It presents fruity aromas such as mango and melon. On the palate, it is structured, balanced and elegant. We recommend pairing it with appetizers and seafood. We suggest a serving temperature of 6ºC to 8ºC

             

             

             

            Sparkling Wines

             

             

             

            Cava is a Spanish sparkling wine made mainly in Catalonia. Cava is made in the traditional method. The blend of grapes can vary, but the most common blend is Macabeo, Xarel-lo and Parellada. It's a great option for aperitifs and celebrations.

             

            Our Recommendation:

             

            • Cava Adernats Brut Nature Reserva: Sparkling wine produced by the winery Adernats Vinicola de Nulles. It is a blend made of Macabeo, Xarel-lo and parellada grapes, that comes from a vineyard with more than 20 years.

               

                On the palate it is clean, fresh and creamy. It was awarded the gold medal in the concourse Mondial Bruxelles 2019.  We recommend pairing it with appetizers and fish dishes.
